The Community Churches of Christ International (CCCI) was founded in the year 2000 by Archbishop Lester L. Williams, a visionary leader called to unite and empower Christian communities worldwide. His journey in ministry began in 1976 when he was called into the Gospel Ministry, following his education at Xavier University of New Orleans, where he earned a B.A. in Secondary English Education in 1974. Furthering his theological studies, he obtained a Master of Religious Education (M.R.E.) degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982 and later earned a Doctorate of Ministry from Drew University in 1993.

CCCI was established with a mission to foster spiritual growth, leadership development, and community empowerment among churches and believers across the United States and internationally. Under the leadership of Archbishop Williams, the organization has expanded into multiple Ecclesiastical Districts, including the Northern, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern Regions in the U.S., as well as an International Region led by esteemed bishops.

Guided by a commitment to educating, equipping, and empowering believers, CCCI continues to make a transformative impact by strengthening churches, fostering relationships, and developing ministry systems that serve communities locally and globally. Today, CCCI stands as a testament to faith, unity, and leadership in the body of Christ, touching lives through outreach, education, and service.
